Saviours: Every life Counts
In this world, where technology brings the world to our fingertips, even in the healthcare sector, especially during these circumstances where we have government verified mobile apps that help us to stay safe.
“Globally, as of 15 November 2020, there have been 53,507,282 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including1,305,164 deaths, reported to WHO.”
The above information is reasons to develop a medical service platform.
Nowadays everybody uses their mobile phones to complete the smallest task. Hence, by developing a medical-related app or website, we can help people with the booking of beds in hospitals and find the availability of certain blood types in the nearest blood bank.
We did something similar in our application and website prototype, where we are displaying the nearest blood-bank/hospital with the help of google maps API which uses the user's location and filters the search as required.

Why Saviours?
Lack of medical Information and misinformation are the major problems faced by the people. Due to which many lives are at risk. To overcome such problems, we came up with an idea to create a platform for users to get accurate and reliable medical information. Our system will display the information about the nearest Hospitals, Blood Banks, and Covid-19 centers to the users according to their requirements and Location with the help of Google Maps. The Authorized Blood Banks, Hospitals, and Covid-19 centers would update the information timely to deliver reliable information to the users which helps in saving many lives, especially during this pandemic period.
Among all the medical apps which are currently on the market only 11% of apps offer patients the most desirable functionalities. We will make sure that our app will be one of them.
User Interface of Our Application and Website
Our user interface design fulfills every aspect to be categorized as a user-centered design because:
1.Analysis- While researching we came across points to make the app and website user-friendly and we tried fulfilling the requirements of the user.
2. Design- We started the design of our project comprehensively to ensure that the design meets all the requirements and remains quite easy to access.
3.Implementation- Implementation was the most crucial phase, as the design was to be kept according to the plan and the UI must be user friendly.
4.Deployment- After all the above steps, maintaining it accordingly will also be a major task in making it easy to access. We made our project taking into consideration all these steps and thus created a UI that allows functionality on demarcated button links making it hassle-free to utilize the services we provide.
Technologies utilized:
To build our prototype application we have used flutter and connected it to a MongoDB database using Node.js as a back end for the app. We have also worked on the website which is built using CSS + HTML + JavaScript and connected it to Firebase.
I am glad to share my experience with you all. Working on this project was interesting and I have learnt modern technologies. With teamwork, we have completed our prototype Saviours.
